Richard Nafshun is a professor of chemistry at Oregon State University and an ESTEME@OSU affiliate. Over the course of his career, Dr. Nafshun has devoted his efforts to chemistry instruction, research, outreach, and service leading to an increased understanding in how students learn chemistry concepts. One of his current academic interests lies in developing new instrumentation techniques for undergraduate laboratory courses. Along this vein, his involvement with the ESTEME@OSU project stems from his desire to help increase student understanding of core chemistry concepts at the undergraduate level.
