Mike Lerner is a Professor of Chemistry at Oregon State University. He received his B.S. from the Univ. of Pennsylvania, a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UC Berkeley, and did post-doctoral studies at Northwestern and Lawrence Berkeley Labs. Mike’s chemistry research focuses on making new materials, especially intercalation compounds and nanocomposites for applications in energy storage. He directs the online education program at OSU Chemistry and in involved in creating virtual science labs for online courses.
